Definite creates flavoured bars with natural and locally sourced Dominican ingredients, to bring you a special Caribbean experience. Eat good chocolate, close your eyes, and you are on a journey through the different regions of the Dominican Republic.
The cocoa for this chocolate comes from Biocafcao, a company founded in 1988 in Villa Altagracia, as is represented on the packaging of the chocolate. Biocafcao focuses on production, processing and commercialization of organically certified crops including coffee, cocoa and coconut. They supply a wide range of cocoa products – beans, powder and butter, but also cocoa liquor (ready-made mass). Definite buys beans from them, to create their own bean-to-bar chocolate in their small facility in Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic.
