Morin Papua New Guinea Sido 70%
This dark chocolate, for which the cocoa beans are grown in Papua New Guinea, gives strong smoky aromas, with a touch of greenness and Turkish delight.
Description
The cocoa grown on the island of Papua New Guinea is the result of cross-breeding of several varieties of cocoa: Criollo from Venezuela, Amelonado from west Africa, a hybrid Forastero and a Trinitario-clone. These varieties were given to small farmers in Papua New Guinea by international aid agencies and NGO’s in 1990 as the country was rocked by rebellion.
The cocoa beans used for this dark chocolate bar originate from plantations situated in the province of East New Britain and from small farmers who harvest cocoa in several places.
Tasting notes: mildly smoky, with a hint of woody greenness and Turkish delight.
Ingredients: Cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, sunflower lecithin
May contain traces of milk, nuts and sesame
