Morin Jamaica 63% Marvia
This dark chocolate combines woody and lightly smoked aromas with lighter notes of yellow fruit and honey. The beans originate from Jamaica.
Description
The story goes that Jamaican cocoa beans were the first to be imported into the UK. In the early days, they were used to brew a milky drink which was sold as medicine, but only the richest people could afford it.
In Jamaica, cocoa beans trade is strictly regulated and overseen by a government agency, allowing limited direct contact between chocolate makers and cocoa farmers. Generally, the cocoa beans on the island are of the Trinitario variety.
Flavour notes: woody, subtle aromas of smoke, yellow fruit and honey.
Ingredients: cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa mass, emulsifier: sunflower lecithin.
May contain traces of milk, nuts and sesame.
