Tibito Arauca 70% (september 2018)
From the deep inlands of Colombia, from the Arauca region comes this 70% chocolate. It has a creamy texture and a sweet taste profile of milk, caramel and hazelnut and a surprising hint of citrus.
Single origin chocolate from Arauca, Colombia
The Arauca region, near the border with Venezuela, is a paradise of flora and fauna, characterized by its large plains. Here is the majestic “Sierra Nevada del Cocuy“. They are the highest peaks of the Cordillera Oriental, the eastern part of the Andes.
In the west the mountains rise almost perpendicular from the grasslands, creating a very varied ecosystem. In this environment the fertile plains with the foothills of the Andes unite in mountainous landscapes, crossed by the rivers Arauca, Meta and Casanare.
In this land of green savannas, the fine cocoa for this bar grows to the rhythm of the ‘joropo’ music. Tibito buys beans directly from small farmers or farmer cooperatives. Quality is valued with a high fee. For Arauca they are Arauca Cacao, Coop Cacao and Coomprocar.
