What we call fair trade is quite normal in Ecuador. At Kun\u00e1 it means social responsibility &#8211; firmly established throughout the concept. Producer well-being, job creation and the cultivation of high-quality cocoa are essential components.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<div id=\"tw-source-text-container\" class=\"tw-ta-container F0azHf tw-nfl\">\n<p id=\"tw-source-rmn\" class=\"tw-data-placeholder tw-text-small tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">A balanced 82%<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"oSioSc\">\n<div id=\"tw-target\">\n<div id=\"kAz1tf\" class=\"g9WsWb\">\n<div id=\"tw-target-text-container\" class=\"tw-ta-container F0azHf tw-nfl\">\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Vertaling\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">As with the &#8220;Asociaci\u00f3n Wi\u00f1ak&#8221;, there is also a cooperation with the &#8220;Uni\u00f3n de Asociaciones Artesanales Eloy Alfaro de Esmeraldas&#8221; in central northern Ecuador due to the same charitable ideals. This is the province in the top left corner of the country. An interesting detail is that mainly people of African origin live there. Supposedly this is due to the sinking of a slave ship off the coast. The cocoa from this region is very balanced with a fat content of 7%. Precisely because of the balanced taste profile, there are many very good chocolates with a higher cocoa content.
