Saloy<\/a> is a community of just under 2100 inhabitants, part of the city of Davao<\/a>, on the southern island of Mindanao. Davao was once the centre of cocoa cultivation. Saloy is actually located far outside the city of Davao, in the mountainous area of tropical forest.<\/p>\n

Since around 2010 Don Papa<\/a> has put the Philippines on the world map as a rum country. It is also the first really artisanal Filipino rum. Which was about time, considering The Phillipines is one of the major rum-drinking countries in the world!<\/p>\n
