More than fair trade
Kuná is a brand of the Ecuadorian company FreshCosta, which – by our standards – operates a remarkable social policy. What we call fair trade is quite normal in Ecuador. At Kuná it means social responsibility – firmly established throughout the concept. Producer well-being, job creation and the cultivation of high-quality cocoa are essential components.
One of the excellent varieties is the delicious version with pieces of the coffee bean.
The “Nacional” or “Arriba” cocoa comes from the “Kichwa cooperative Asociación Wiñak” from the Unesco Biosphere Sumaco.
Ingredients: cocoa mass, cocoa butter, coffee nibs, panela (unrefined cane sugar: the juice of the plant is evaporated).
