Nestled in the tropical mountains, Saloy is fed with fresh spring water flowing through its lush forests, giving the chocolate grown there a very dynamic flavour.

Saloy is a community of just under 2100 inhabitants, part of the city of Davao, on the southern island of Mindanao. Davao was once the centre of cocoa cultivation. Saloy is actually located far outside the city of Davao, in the mountainous area of tropical forest.

Since around 2010 Don Papa has put the Philippines on the world map as a rum country. It is also the first really artisanal Filipino rum. Which was about time, considering The Phillipines is one of the major rum-drinking countries in the world!
