This bar from Kuná is perfectly balanced with some chipotle salt (chili sparkles in sea salt) and gives a spicy freshness to the warm taste of cardamom. No tree was felled for the packaging. Kuná is a brand of the Ecuadorian company FreshCosta, which – by our standards – operates a remarkable social policy. What we call fair trade and think is good is quite normal in Ecuador. At Kuná it means social responsibility – firmly established throughout the concept. Producer well-being, job creation and the cultivation of high-quality cocoa are essential components.
The “Nacional” or “Arriba” cocoa comes from the “Kichwa cooperative Asociación Wiñak” from the Unesco Biosphere Sumaco.
Flavour notes: a deep cocoa flavour, both dark and fresh. Combined with spices like smoked chili sparks and Pacific natural sea salt grains.
Ingredients: cocoa mass, cocoa butter, cardamom, spices, vanillin, panela (unrefined cane sugar: the juice of the plant is evaporated).
