Description
Out of nowhere, Kuná won first prize at “El Salon del Cacao y chocolate Ecuatoriano” in Guayaquil (Ecuador) in 2012.
More than fair trade
Kuná is a brand of the Ecuadorian company FreshCosta, which – by our standards – operates a remarkable social policy. What we call fair trade is quite normal in Ecuador. At Kuná, it means social responsibility – firmly established throughout the concept. Producer well-being, job creation and the cultivation of high-quality cocoa are essential components.
A perfect 71%
A delicious dark chocolate with a particularly smooth, rich taste. We were pleasantly surprised when we got to taste it for the first time.
The “Nacional” or “Arriba” cocoa comes from the “Kichwa cooperative Asociación Wiñak” from the Unesco Biosphere Sumaco.
Flavour notes: deep, rich and fruity in taste, smooth in the mouth.
Ingredients: cocoa mass, cocoa butter, panela (unrefined cane sugar: the juice of the plant is boiled down).
